Worcester Public Library New Children’s Room!
Worcester Public Library New Children’s Room! The New Pappas Children’s Center at the Worcester Public Library is ready for families! Completed in August 2021, this new space is a bright and beautiful area for families to enjoy reading, playing and meeting new friends.
WCKC recently had a tour with Associate Director Sulma Rubert-Silva. We were amazed with what we saw. The Pappas Children’s Center is such a welcoming and fun space for kids, and in-person programming for families is coming back!
The Pappas Children’s Center is located on the 3rd floor. A colorful 3 story mural by local artist Ryan Gardell leads visitors up the stairway to the children’s room. Take it if you can!
A big blue and silver rocket in the center of the room attracts kids to the screens showing rockets in flight and to the reading nooks at the base.
The Bancroft Tower area is a wonderful spot for toddlers to play and provides a quiet area for nursing moms.
We loved all the areas to enjoy reading together
Playscape – A changing area for kids to play, build, create. When we visited we saw lots of materials for building.
Here are some of the programs you will find this spring!
