How the Passes Work
  • You may reserve a museum pass up to one month before your visit. Please call ahead to confirm that the Worcester Public Library location you are picking the passes up from is open.
  • Call the attraction that you plan on visiting to ensure they are open and to make a reservation at that location if needed. Most museums are requiring online timed ticket reservations during the pandemic. Your pass will be available to pick up no sooner than 3 days for returnable passes/7 days for coupon passes before your reservation at the curbside table.
  • Patrons 18 and older with a valid card from any member of the CW MARS network may reserve one pass at a time online with their library card number and pin. You can also reserve a pass by calling any of the Worcester library locations.
  • Each location of the Worcester Public Library offers different passes. Keep in mind some locations are closed on the weekends, and currently have reduced hours. If you reserve a weekend pass from one of these branches, you will need to pick it up on a weekday. For locations and hours information click here.
  • Each returnable pass is reserved for a specific day and can only be picked up on that day or up to three days before. Non-coupon passes should be returned at the curbside table before 11 a.m. the day following their use. Coupons passes are available 7 days before your reservation and do not need to be returned.
  • Patrons must have their library card or photo identification to pick up Museum Passes. If picking up pass for a family member, the person picking up pass must bring the library card of the person who made the reservation.
Important Notes:
  • The library does their best to keep this pass info page updated with current information from the museums.  They recommend checking the particular museum’s website to find out the most accurate and up-to-date information concerning open hours, museum pass discounts, benefits, and restrictions before your visit.
  • A confirmation e-mail from their online reservation system is not a museum pass. Museums will not allow admission with a confirmation e-mail. You must pick up the pass at the library.
  • The late-return fine for any museum pass is $5 per day with a $20 maximum. In addition to the $5 per day fee, an inconvenience fee of $15 will be charged if the late return of a pass prevented another patron from using it. The fee for a lost pass is $30. Please call and speak with a circulation supervisor if you have extenuating circumstances and cannot return your pass on time.
  • Patrons cannot reserve a museum pass if they owe $10 or above in fines or billed items.
