Wachusett Mountain State Reservation Family Educational Events: See what they have in store for families throughout the winter.

Winter Fun Days at Fruitlands! Every Saturday and Sunday through March 13, Fruitlands holds their Winter Fun Days. Sledding, Snowshoeing, Scavenger Hunts, Fire pit rentals (with smore’s) and so much more!

Owl Prowl: This event on 2/19 is for families with kids ages 5+. Sign up before they are full!

Backyard & Beyond at Discovery Museum Every Sunday morning they do a nature-based activity based on the weather and season, either in Discovery Woods or out on the adjacent conservation land. All ages are welcome but activities are designed for 2-6 year olds. Stay and explore the amazing treehouse after the event!

New England Botanic Gardens at Tower Hill: They offer many programs for families to get outside throughout the winter. Check their calendar!

Winter Weekends on the Farm: 

Winter Events at Chestnut Hill Farm: Private Firepit Rentals, Jr. Farmer for a Day, Storywalks and more!

Go Snow Tubing!  Central MA has two local parks for snow tubing!

Snow Shoeing: Check out the 2 local MA Audubon sites that offer rentals and beautiful trails! The snow covered property is so beautiful in the winter!

Sleigh Rides: The snow is here.  Sleigh Rides are a wonderful way to make fun winter family memories.

Fireplace Feasts: Sign up for an incredible feast that you help prepare with sleigh rides and cooking demos. They take place at Salem Cross Inn on select dates throughout the winter.

Roger Williams Park Zoo: Take a quick drive to RWP Zoo for their half price admission through February!

Ice Castles: In N Woodstock NH. We recommend a day trip during February school vacation week.
