Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I’m in the mood to get totally corny on my kids with this festive food. A quick look around Pinterest brought up these culinary beauties. Who wouldn’t want an egg yolk shaped like a heart? You know you want to try it.

A Heart Cake!

How to make it: Bake two cakes, one square and one round. Slice the round one in half and place on top edges. Frost entire cake as one.

Hotdog Hearts

How to make it: Cut the ends from a hot-dog at a diagonal and place the cut edges together as shown. Spear the heart with a length of uncooked linguini. Add pieces of cheese trimmed to resemble the ends of an arrow.

Fun things you can do with a heart-shaped cookie cutter!

Powdered sugar makes everything great!

Cut out a heart from a piece of paper and place atop (anything). Sift powdered sugar over the top and remove paper with tweezers (as not to smudge the sugar). Viola!

Now this is easy? If you’re using the ones from the tube, just unroll them, and re-roll them into a heart shape.
