Summer at Stoneleigh-Burnham 2024! For equestrians, artists, athletes, and traditional summer campers ages 7-16.

Stoneleigh-Burnham Summer Camps 2024
  • Animation Camp: This camp focuses on 2D, hand-drawn animation, digitally and on paper. It covers the basics of what animation is and a variety of techniques for creating it. Over the course of a week, campers work on a number of animation exercises as well as a short cumulative project. Ages 10-16. (1 week: Begins June 23 for overnight and June 24 for day).
  • Animation Intensive: Animation Intensive is a continuation of Animation, and those looking to join need to take the first or be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge of basic animation concepts and techniques. The week long camp continues practicing hand-drawn animation but also focuses on compiling and compositing frames, backgrounds and other elements. Ages 10-16. (1 week: Begins June 20 for overnight and July 1 for day).
  • Owl Day Camp:  A co-ed day camp for kids ages 7-12 interested in a traditional summer camp experience. (9 one-week sessions beginning on June 24.)
  • Performing Arts Camp: A co-ed program for students ages 12-17. Students work intensely with a director, choreographer and music director over the course of the camp.(July 15-19).
  • Debate & Public Speaking: Girls 12-17,  Develop skills in active listening, collaboration, persuasive writing, leadership, critical thinking, and civic mindedness. (August 19 – 23).
  • Bonnie Castle Riding Camp:  An overnight riding camp for girls ages 8-16 for intermediate and advanced riders.  This program sells out, sign up soon. (Three sessions beginning June 23, July 7, and July 21). 
  • Horsemanship Day Camp:  A riding program for beginner riders ages 9-12 This program sells out, sign up soon. (1 week: August 4-10).

Sports Day Camps

Weekly (8 One Week Sessions)

Sports Camp (Coed)
Learn and play a variety of sports and enjoy the pool when it’s time to cool off.
For students ages 6-12

June 24 – 28

Sports Sampler Camp
A daily sampling of the following sports: soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming, and lacrosse, plus recreational swim time.
For girls ages 8-12

Soccer Camp
A camp to develop soccer skills with sport specific coaching. This camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control.
For girls ages 10-17

July 8 – 12

Basketball Camp
This camp provides a healthy mix of contests, scrimmages, and skills development in basketball.
For girls ages 10-17

July 15-19

Volleyball Camp
Designed to teach blocking, serving, setting, spiking as well as the strategies of team play.
For girls ages 10-17

August 5 – 9

Soccer Preseason Camp
Designed to prepare players for the fall season. Emphasis will be placed on helping players to improve their skills and conditioning that are essential to becoming an impact player on the field by focusing on dribbling skills, passing with a purpose, and building confidence in their skills.
For girls ages 12-17

August 12 – 16

Volleyball Preseason Camp
Designed to prepare players for the fall season. Emphasis will be placed on helping players to improve the skills and conditioning essential to becoming an impact player on the court with a focus on court awareness, building confidence, and perfecting their volleyball skill set.
For girls ages 12-17

 

Choices of camp day structure:
  1. Day Camp (8am-4pm) – Campers who choose this option will attend from 8am to 4pm, Monday-Friday. Lunch will be provided. Campers will be immersed in the camp curriculum and follow the day camp schedule. Early and late care options available.
  2. Residential Camp (overnight) – Campers who choose this option will arrive Sunday and leave the following Friday (Saturday for BCRC). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided. Campers will be immersed in the camp curriculum and follow the day camp schedule as well as nightly activities outside of the specific camp curriculum.
