What is SoWa? (Taken from the SoWa Website)
Welcome to SoWa Boston, the Art + Design district in the South End alive with restaurants, artist studios, galleries, home decor showrooms, and fashion boutiques housed in chic reclaimed industrial warehouse buildings. Sunday (from May to October) is a fun day when artisans, craftspeople, designers, and local farmers gather in the SoWa Open market, and shop owners open their doors.

The SoWa Boston shops are a shopping paradise. They specialize in handmade, high-quality (even couture) collections of goodies flawlessly curated by talented makers and designers. Find everything from imported french flatware and hand-thrown ceramics to custom-made engagement rings and designer furniture; SoWa is a wall-to-wall eye candy shopping experience.
