Coes Park Playground!  Get there! City of Worcester, thank you! You’ve outdone yourself with the playground at Coes Park!

Coes Park is a multi-generational, universally accessible playground off Mill Street, on the banks of Coes Pond. The park is sectioned into two, fenced in areas–one for the bigger kids and one for the littles although the younger ones can find lots to do and explore in the older kid’s area making this a great park for siblings.

You will find a musical play area, “rock climbing” area, parent and child swings, lots of equipment for climbing and beautiful spots to enjoy a picnic. The wide paths, special play equipment, and rubber surface make the park accessible for those in wheelchairs and grandparents with walkers can enjoy getting up close to their grandchildren playing. It’s truly a park for everybody.

What are you waiting for?  Enjoy the cooler weather and check out Coes Park!

WCKC Tip: On a sunny day, bring hats and sunscreen, shade is scarce. They do have a small pavilion area with seating, but the play area is mostly sunny.

NEW Boardwalk!

coes park boardwalk

A new boardwalk was constructed from the playground about half a mile down the reservoir edge. This is a fantastic walk for people with strollers – wide boardwalks, plenty of benches and seating areas. We saw swans on the pond, and frogs by the water’s edge. What a gem of a walk!

        Hi Amanda,
I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Worcester parks are open daily (dawn to dusk). Can you be more specific with your question?
        Thanks!
