We couldn’t be more excited for the brand new, year-round restaurant at Davis Farmland! Families are in for a real treat, because Davis is known for their famous Kansas City BBQ that is served each fall at their festivals. And they delivered Friday night when we got a special pre-opening sneak peek.
On the menu, you will find platters, sandwiches, bowls, kids meals, and salads. We are pleased to see gluten free, keto and vegan menu items too! And they have a great selection of sides including smoked bone in wings. There is something for everyone.
But how does one decide? They recommended the burnt ends platter for me. The beef was so tender that I didn’t need a knife. And the flavors! I selected roasted vegetables and onion straws for sides. The platter also came with pickles, coleslaw and Texas Toast. Everything was fabulous.
The award-winning Pit Master Josh came by to check on me and explained the process of preparing the meat. Between the rubs and the wood preparation, the meat is prepared all week before it is finally cooked and served to the guests. Josh expressed how thrilled he is to be creating these mouth-watering meals at Davis BBQ. Being part of the family business is a joy for him. We are glad you are there too, Josh!
WCKC Pro Tip: Say “yes” to the homemade fresh beignets! They offer an assortment of desserts, but we recommend their daily, freshly-made beignets, served with chocolate sauce. Yum!
Davis BBQ opens Monday, December 7th for Indoor Dining, Outdoor Patio Dining, Carry Out & Curbside.
