Macy’s is once again ready to deliver a dazzling spectacle featuring its signature mix of
giant character balloons, floats, marching bands, performance groups, clowns, music stars and
the one-and-only Santa Claus. Macy’s Balloon Inflation will return to the Upper West Side of Manhattan the day before Thanksgiving; Public viewing on Thanksgiving Day will be available along the traditional 2.5-mile Macy’s Parade route.
The 97th annual parade lineup will feature 16 giant helium balloons, 32 heritage and novelty balloons, 26 floats, more than 700 clowns, 12 marching bands, nine performance groups, a host of musical stars, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
BALLOONS:
• Giant character helium balloons – 16
• This year’s new balloons include Bluey by BBC; Diary of A Wimpy Kid® by Abrams Books; DINO and Baby DINO by Sinclair Oil; Stuart the Minion by Illumination; and a balloonicle of Striker, the U.S. Soccer Star by FOX Sports. And NEW: Beagle Scout Snoopy.
• Height of tallest balloon – 56 feet (Goku)
• Length of longest balloon – 70 feet (Goku)
• Width of widest balloon – 37 feet (Tied between: BBC’s Bluey and Funko’s Grogu™)
FLOATS:
• Floats – 28, comprised of hundreds of different set pieces and other structural elements
• New floats – Pillsbury Doughboy, Brach’s Palace of Sweets, The Deliciously Delectable World of Wonka, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Camp Snoopy.
• Length and height of largest float – 60 feet long and 3.5 stories tall (Santa’s Sleigh)
