Admission is free.  Walk the trails and read Martin’s BIG Words. This picture book biography of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. brings his life and the profound nature of his message to young children through his own words.

Winter Fun Day at Fruitlands

Join  Fruitlands Museum for some Covid-safe winter family fun! Bring your winter boots, sleds, snowshoes, or cross-country skis to get outside and explore our hills and woodland trails. $10 parking per carload. Firepit rentals available.

MLK Day at American Heritage Museum
568 Main St. Hudson, MA
American Heritage Museum will be open special hours today for MLK Day. They will have scavenger hunts, show and tell, and games for kids of all ages. In anticipation of Black History month and in honor of MLK they moved their PT-17 Stearman aircraft into the Museum where it is on display. This is the last fully restored and flying Stearman that was originally used to train Tuskegee Airmen in WWII.

Join us the MFA for their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Open House, presented in partnership with Citizens. This year, the MFA offers free admission—including access to special exhibitions—for Massachusetts residents. Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King by surrounding yourself with art, culture, and community! And don’t miss the magnificent art of Roxbury’s own Ekua Holmes in “Paper Stories, Layered Dreams,” on view through January 24, 2022. Anyone 12 and over must show proof of vaccination.

Spend the day at the zoo! Guests are invited to write messages of hope and peace on murals located within the Tropical Forest Pavilion at Franklin Park Zoo, and within the Animal Discovery Center at Stone Zoo. *Starting January 15, 2022, all Franklin Park Zoo visitors age 12 and older must have proof of at least one dose of vaccination against COVID-19 to enter indoor exhibit spaces in accordance with the City of Boston’s requirement.
