Free Light Show at Boston Hatch Shell Through 2/21!

Hatched: Breaking through the Silence
Multi-Sensory Winter Illumination Experience at the Iconic Hatch Shell

If you are heading in to Boston, you might want to check out the new light show at the Hatch Shell.  The display begins at 5:00pm and runs every 20 minutes until 9:00pm, through 2/21.

The display is a family-friendly, outdoor event celebrating joy and optimism for the New Year.
Viewers may tune in to the original synchronized soundtrack on their personal devices while watching the illuminations.

Things to keep in mind:

  • There is no parking, but footbridges will take you to the esplanade.  Here is a map.
  • No tickets or reservations are required.  Just show up!
  • Masks are required and visitors are expected to social distance.
  • Click here to listen to the live stream music.
  • This is fully outdoors and no public restrooms are available.
  • The hatch shell is best reached on foot from the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge however, the Fanny Appleton Bridge, which lies just to the west of the Longfellow Bridge, is the best and nearest access option for guests with disabilities.
