The Fitchburg Art Museum is excited to announce the Museum has reopened!
We look forward to seeing you soon! Director Nick Capasso notes: “Spring is in the air,
and so is hope for the end of the pandemic. Come celebrate with FAM in our
welcoming, safe and clean galleries. Be inspired by beautiful and fascinating works of
art, and get your creative juices flowing!”
FAM reopens phase two:
- Phase Two: Beginning Wednesday, April 14th. The Discover Ancient Egypt exhibition will reopen and the Museum will expand hours to Wednesday through Friday 12 to 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 5pm.
No reservations are required.
Guests can immerse themselves in larger than life photographs on view in The Big
Picture: Giant Photographs and Powerful Portfolios at the Museum. The special
exhibition features recent acquisitions to the Fitchburg Art Museum’s growing collection
of photography in two categories: large scale digital color prints by contemporary artists
and portfolios of multiple related works. Visitors can also browse works of American,
Oceanic, and African Art on view from the Museum’s collection, including the focus
exhibition Cloth is Money: Textiles from the Sahel.
Two of FAM’s most popular community events return to our galleries this spring.
Art in Bloom: May 13- May 16. There will be timed tickets to this event. Look for details on the FAM website.
85th Regional Exhibition of Art and Craft. Begins 6/26. Open to all artists and crafters working in any medium who live or work within 30 miles of Fitchburg. Look for details on the FAM website beginning on 3/22.
