The word “audition” creates feelings. However, WCC auditions are encouraging and low-stress. The appointment is an opportunity to meet the artistic staff and sing a few bars in order to place the singer in the most appropriate ensemble with WCC or through another local school or organization so that they can thrive alongside their musical peers and nurture their love of singing with a solid foundation. The goal is to place each child in the best place for their joyful growth and development.
These 10-minute audition appointments are held each August/September, December/January, and May/June and are also offered on a rolling basis. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled audition dates, please contact WCC at info@worcesterchildrenschorus.org and they will be glad to set up an appointment.
Tuition Assistance
At Worcester Children’s Chorus (WCC), we believe that every child who loves to sing should have the opportunity to be part of our vibrant musical community, regardless of their financial situation. Our mission is to foster a diverse and inclusive environment where children and teens from all backgrounds can come together to learn, grow, and thrive through the joy of singing.
To support this mission, we are proud to offer comprehensive financial assistance to families in need. We are passionate that cost should never be a barrier to participation in our programs. That’s why we provide need-based financial aid to ensure that all children have the chance to join our choir and benefit from our professional-level instruction and enriching experiences.
We invite families to take advantage of this opportunity. Our goal is to make sure every young singer feels welcome and supported, we are committed to working with you to make participation possible.

About
Worcester Children’s Chorus (WCC) celebrates its 17th year offering youth inspiring choral experiences, high-quality music education, and exciting performance opportunities. WCC debuted in 2009 during a “Mostly Mozart” program with The Master Singers of Worcester and has grown to five auditioned ensembles – winning the Telegram & Gazette’s Best Musical Group of Central MA in 2021 and a finalist in 2023.
Under the artistic direction of Dr. Pamela Mindell, WCC ensembles meet weekly at Worcester’s Joy of Music school campus with professionally-trained educators to rehearse for a variety of unique performances and annual concerts planned each year. Highly-respected for choral excellence, WCC is regularly invited to sing with the finest local adult choral groups and at choral festivals as well as perform with the youth and adult orchestras throughout Central MA. WCC’s varied and rich musical repertoire and exciting calendar of events challenge singers in a nurturing and growth-oriented environment.
WCC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit governed by a Board of Directors. Tuition supports roughly one-third of our annual budget. Funding is also provided by individuals, local businesses, corporations and foundations dedicated to the enrichment of young lives through music. Financial aid is awarded to an average of 30% of our families each year. Donations are tax-deductible. Visit our website for a full list of our funders and sponsors.
