Wachusett Reservoir Upcoming Events
The MA Dept. of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Division of Water Supply Protection (DWSP) announces upcoming fall programs. Programs are free and open to the public. Dogs and domestic animals are prohibited on watershed lands. Reasonable accommodations are available upon advance request. Saturday, September 12, 10-11:30 a.m.
Hike to Horseshoe Cove
Hike to the shoreline of this pristine water body. Ponds, rock ledges, and forest roads offer interesting views along the way. About 2 miles round trip. Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 22, Rt 140, West Boylston. GPS address 167 Temple St, West Boylston.

Saturday, September 19, 10 –11:30 a.m.
Hike to the Narrows
Hike the forest roads and enjoy the views at the narrowest part of the reservoir. About 3 miles round trip. Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 8, Intersection of Cross Street and Route 70, Boylston.

Sunday, October 11, 9-10 a.m.
Guided Walk to Dam Day
A guided 1 mile walk along the North Dike to the Wachusett Dam. This open hillside walk offers interesting views and points of interest. Explore the area when you reach the dam and return at your own pace. The walkway across the dam will be open for walking from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Meet at Gate 39 – the intersection of South Meadow Road and Route 110 in Clinton.

Saturday, October 17, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Sterling Rail Trail and Pond Loop
About a 3-mile round trip on easy terrain. Take in the water’s edge fall foliage and to enjoy all the scents and sounds the season has to offer. Meet at Central MA Rail Trail (Sterling), 25 Gates Road, Sterling.
