The gnomes are back at New England Botanic Garden and this time they brought a few more friends! Standing over 2-feet-tall and 60-pounds, these concrete gnomes were cast from molds at the Garden while artists from around New England submitted proposals to creatively transform them into works of art with their own unique backstories. Decorated using a wide variety of artistic media, gnomes celebrate nature, culture, identity, whimsy, and more.

Can you find all the gnomes?

Gnomes are hidden along accessible pathways throughout the Garden, some more mischievously than others! Find all 40 — including the elusive Golden Gnome. Post her picture on Instagram with the hashtag #gnomevember23 and you’ll be entered to win a special prize.

New England Botanic Garden has formal gardens as well as easy hikes through woodland trails that include scenic views of the Wachusett Reservoir and Mount Wachusett. The Visitor Center includes Farmer and the Fork cafe, beautiful subtropical conservatories, and the Garden Shop where visitors can find garden gnomes for sale.
