About Enchanted Forest

Calling all woodland fairies, elves, and gnomes! The Frost King has come to spend the winter at the Fruitlands Fairy Forest and he has brought all sorts of new enchantment with him.

Come visit the Enchanted Forest and enjoy self-guided explorations. Fairy, Gnome, and Elf houses installed on the yellow trail bring the winter forest to life. Your registration includes a pass for grounds access on the day of your registration. You will also receive a link for access to a digital activity kit including map, craft activity guide, story time reading, and more!

Inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s “The Frost King, of The Power of Love” from her book Flower Fables.

While living at Fruitlands, 10-year-old Louisa May Alcott wrote in her diary that she “had a lovely time in the woods with Anna and Lizzie. We were fairies, and made gowns and paper wings. I ‘flied’ the highest of all.” This winter we are excited to extend this magical fun from our main season into the winter woods.

Register online to receive a digital DIY Enchanted Forest Activity Kit (including map, craft tutorial, storytime reading, and more) prior to your visit. Activity kit access information will be sent directly to registered guests via email.
