15th Annual Barbara J. Walker Butterfly Festival is coming on 8/13! Celebrate butterflies with a day of educational fun for all ages! Join in for the 15th Annual Barbara J. Walker Butterfly Festival at Broad Meadow Brook, a natural habitat for butterflies.

Festival Activities
  • Naturalist-led walks & workshops
  • Children’s activities and nature themed arts and crafts
  • Live caterpillar exhibit, butterfly gardening information and hummingbird station
  • Butterfly plant sales, including milkweed for monarchs
  • Garden tours
  • Delicious food, vendors, and more!
  • Come in costume and win a prize!
Festival Admission

$6/person (Age 2 and younger are free)
$5/person for Mass Audubon members

About Mass Audubon Broad Meadow Brook

(Taken from the Broad Meadow Brook Facebook Page) At Mass Audubon’ Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary you can explore over 400 acres of woods, fields, streams, and marsh. While here, search for 78 different species of butterflies, prowl for owls, or learn to snowshoe.

Our Conservation Center features iBroad Meadow Brook in Worcester is the largest urban wildlife sanctuary in New England, with more than 400 acres cooperatively managed or owned by Mass Audubon. Interpretive signs will guide you along well-marked trails through woods, fields, streams, and marsh.

The sanctuary also serves as a visitor information site for the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. We are located near the Blackstone Heritage Visitor Center (115 McKeon Road), the Blackstone River Gateway Park, and the Blackstone Bikeway. And we want you to Have a BLAST!
